The 10th-anniversary Farris Concert Season boasts an outstanding variety of shows at the area’s premier entertainment venue.

The 2018-19 season at Richmond’s historic venue features a vibrant contestant from television’s “The Voice,” a band that recreates the look and sound of perhaps the greatest rock band ever and another ensemble that echoes the jazzy feeling of the Big Band era. The season ends with a first: a dance extravaganza.

• Country singer/songwriter Casi Joy made it to the Live Playoffs round on Season 12 of the NBC’s “The Voice.” She chose Blake Shelton as her coach and earned praise for her flawless yodeling.

The Kansas City-area entertainer has been singing since age 5 and has performed with the Midwest Opry Circuit and Radio Disney. She has recorded in Nashville and opened for the likes of Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts.  Her album “Covered in Joy” came out in April.

Performing with her band, Joy opens the Farris Concert Season on Saturday, Sept. 15.
