Spartans take second at Irish Relays

With six Class 3, District 8 teams competing at the Lafayette Irish Relays in St. Joseph Thursday afternoon it gave those schools a good chance to measure up the competition that will be held May 12 at Richmond High School. The Spartans turned in a good performance with a runner-up finish. Chillicothe picked up 126 points with Richmond ending the day at 105.5, while another district opponent, Maryville was third – just five points behind the Spartans.

Other district schools competing were Lawson, Trenton and Bishop Hogan.

Trenton won the girls division with 131.5 points, while Lawson placed second with 86.5 points and Notre Dame de Sion ending up in third with 83. Richmond was eighth with 52 points.
