It was a day for all the moms — and for the 19 seniors who brought family and a community together for Orrick High School’s graduation commencement Sunday.

Remarks were kept short but were heartfelt.

As one of his last formal duties as high school principal, Dr. Scott Archibald choked back tears as he talked about the Class of 2018. Archibald will become the district’s superintendent.

“You are a class I’ll never forget,” said Archibald, now in his sixth year at OHS. “You helped me be the principal I am today.”
