David Wesley Brown

David Wesley Brown passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in his home in Morristown, Tenn. at the age of 53 as a result of a massive internal hemorrhage.

David was born on October 27, 1964, in Richmond at Ray County Memorial Hospital to parents Donald and Lynda Brown.

He attended the University of Florida Gainesville and graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in mechanical engineering. David was self-employed and enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, spending time with his children, cooking and watching Gator football during his spare time. He was a member of Living Promise Lutheran Church in Morristown, Tenn.

David is survived by his parents, Don and Lynda Brown, as well as his ex-wife, Debbie Brown, and their four children, Meghan (27), Katie (25), Hunter (23) and Sydney Brown (22). He is also survived by his six grand dogs, two grand cats and one grand pig.

David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David (Tore) and Helen Shelton and his maternal grandparents, Wesley and Hallie Gill.

His memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Living Promise Lutheran Church, 5075 Dearing Rd., Morristown. A reception will begin at 5 p.m. with the service beginning at 6 p.m., led by Pastor Matt Westra.

Allen Funeral home in Morristown is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers David’s family asks that donations be made to his church, Living Promise Lutheran Church, 423-438-3033.

Interment will be in Richmond Memory Gardens in September, 2018, with a graveside service.

David was a proud father and is missed greatly.
