Tyler Boss and Seth McGraw picked up victories in their singles matches to help the Spartan tennis team get past visiting Carrollton 6-3 Tuesday night at Maurice Roberts Park.

Richmond, now 4-1 overall and 2-1 against MRVC East competition, won two of the three doubles matches, but fell in the first two matches of singles play.

Boss defeated Joshua Rich 8-6 at No. 3 singles, and Seth McGraw followed with an 8-3 win over Luke Davis in the No. 4 singles match. Richmond coach Julie Baker said the entire team played well, but wins from her No. 3 and 4 players were key.

“We are evenly matched with Carrollton,” she said.
