Two Richmond Spartans entered their names in the RHS track record book Tuesday afternoon as they helped RHS to a runner-up finish at the Hoot Middleton Invitational. The Spartans ended the 12-team event with 128 points. Chillicothe totaled 161.5 points to take first place, with Odessa placing third with 77.5.

Odessa edged Holden for first place in the girls division, 135.5-132. Notre Dame de Sion finished third with 82 points and Chillicothe took fourth spot with 69.

Andre Pritchett had a big hand in the Spartan total for the afternoon. The senior athlete captured first place in the triple jump with a school record leap of 44 feet, 5 ¼ inches. That broke the record of 44-5 set in 1989 by Bassie Jackson.
