City council OKs one-time fix to Garner Road ditches

Tuesday’s Richmond City Council meeting was a twofer, with one council meeting conducted at 6:30 with the old council, swearing-in of newly elected board members, and then immediately another meeting with the new council.

The sole outgoing council member, Tom Williams, who chose not to run for his Ward I seat for this term, participated in the first meeting, along with members Dave Powell, Ron Peterson, Rob Kinnard, Sam Coleman and Barb Hardwick. Members Justin Meier and Deanna Powell were not present. New member Bob Bond took Williams’ place for the second council meeting.
