Garrison case ends in mistrial; hearing set for April 2

The jury trial of Randy M. Garrison, 35, charged with arson, murder and child abandonment in a case from December 2013, ended Friday afternoon in a mistrial.

The jury told 7th Judicial District Court Judge Larry Dale Harman that it could not come to a unanimous decision on any of the five felony counts against Garrison — two Felony A counts of second-degree murder, two Felony B counts of second-degree abandonment of a child, and one Felony A count of first-degree arson with injury or death resulting from a fire explosion in an attempt to manufacture methamphetamines.
