Linda Emley, 61, a protector and champion of Ray County history, died March 8, at the museum she loved.

As site manager for Ray County Museum & Genealogy Library, Linda was able to absorb herself in local history from the first settlers to the Mormon Wars, to the Civil War, the famous and infamous of the area. She shared her knowledge with researchers – from local genealogists to historical researchers.

Like any historian worth their salt, Linda loved nothing more than a historic mystery that she could solve.
