Cynthia Kay Weber

Cynthia “Cindy” Kay Weber, 62, of Richmond, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, from complications from the flu at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Mo.

Cindy was born Jan. 10, 1956, in Lexington, to Roy A. and Izetta (Jeffers) O’Dell. She married Mark Allen Weber, of Richmond, on Nov. 16, 1990; he survives of the home.

Survivors include: three daughters, Charity Hope, and her wife, Gena Barclay, of Kansas City, Mo., Mackenzie Weber, of Kansas City, and Madison Weber, of Kansas City; one stepson, Greg Weber, of Knoxville; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Bob and Myrtice O’Dell, Ronald and Hazel O’Dell, John M. O’Dell and Fred and Ruth Ann O’Dell; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna Sue and Wesley Hewitt; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer O’Dell; and one sister, Peggy Essig.

Cindy was a homemaker.  She also worked at Wright’s 10-13 Diner in Richmond as a waitress for 15 years. She was a lifelong Richmond resident. Cindy loved her family and animals.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Ray County in Richmond.

A private celebration of Cindy’s life by the family will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Online condolences may be left at
