It was a struggle, but the Richmond Spartans were able to remain unbeaten in three MRVC East games Monday night with a 54-43 victory over a stubborn Carrollton Trojan squad. The Spartans were lifted to 7-2 overall on the strength of a 21-2 scoring surge in the third period. Carrollton, now 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the league, held the lead for most of the night – especially in the first half.
