Keith Allen Rash

Keith Allen Rash, 80, of Richmond, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at NorthCare Hospice House, North Kansas City, Mo.

Keith was born July 3, 1937, in Urbana, to William Preston and Marrilla Pearl (Allen) Rash. He married Judy Fay King, of Richmond, Dec. 6, 2002; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: four sons and four daughters-in-law, Bill and Cindy Niemeyer, of Palmdale, Calif., Allen Keith and Lynne Rash, of Merriam, Kan., Joseph Preston and Dawn Rash, of Kansas City, Mo., and Kirk Anthony and Christy Rash, of Liberty; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Shawn Dujakovich, of Lee’s Summit; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert Rash; and four sisters, Joyce Pearson, Geraldine Phillipson, Bobby Agee and Freida Rash.

Keith worked at CertainTeed Corporation for 40 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1994. He also worked at Lake City Arsenal. He was an avid horseman. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse and Appaloosa Club. He was a member of Messenger Chapel in Richmond. Keith lived in the Kansas City area most of his life.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

Visitation is 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the funeral home. Graveside services are 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Hopewell Cemetery in Tunas. Online condolences may be left at
