RMS wraps up season by blanking Hornets

With the defense shutting down the visitors from Chillicothe, the Richmond Middle School Spartans got just enough offense to close out the 2017 season with a 20-0 win over the Hornets. The Richmond eighth graders end the campaign with a 4-1-1 record.

The start of the game at Tom Adams Field was delayed about 45 minutes due to a thunderstorm that passed through the area before the scheduled kickoff.

Once the game began, it didn’t take Richmond long to find the end zone as the Spartans scored on the opening possession of the game – moving 58 yards on five plays with Keyshaun Elliott capping the march.
