Charles M. Wynne

Charles M. Wynne, 84, of Topeka, Kan., passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Charles was born March 3, 1933, in Gallatin, the son of J.O. Wynne and Lucille Boyd Wynne. Charles served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He married Mary Jo Naudet Oct. 25, 1958, in St. John.  Charles worked as an over-the-road truck driver in the Kansas City area.  Charles was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church while living in Topeka.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Jo Wynne, of more than 58 years; three sons, Alan (Cindy) Wynne, of Topeka, Kan., John (Jennifer) Wynne, of Richmond, and Stephen Wynne of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Florence Wisner, of Blue Springs, and Virginia Kidd, of Lee’s Summit; and 10 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9, at the Christ The King Catholic Church, Topeka, Kan.  Interment follows at 2 p.m. in Mt. Olivet, Kansas City, Mo.  Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital and sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home, Topeka, Kan.
