Spartans competitive in Knob loss

Although the Lady Spartan tennis team was shutout for the second time in as many meetings with Knob Noster, coach Duane Bastob felt his squad was more competitive this time around. The Lady Panthers dropped Richmond to 2-4 in MRVC East matches and 3-5 overall with a home win Tuesday afternoon.

“We played an awful lot of close matches,” Bastob said. “Unfortunately, none of them swung our way.”
