RHS’ Wirsig third in conference golf tourney

It was a tough day scoring and weather-wise for the MRVC golf tournament Monday. The six-team event was delayed for over 90 minutes due to weather, and once the golfers returned to the Mules National course in Warrensburg, they were called back in before more bad weather returned.

As a result the tournament was shortened to just nine holes from the scheduled 18.

Only 14 shots separated the field with Grain Valley and Odessa both coming in with a 210 to tie for the top spot. Harrisonville was six shots behind, followed by Excelsior Springs with 218, Pleasant Hill with 221 and Richmond with 224.
