Lady Dawgs battle for second at CLAA tourney

The Hardin-Central Lady Bulldogs advanced to the championship of the CLAA tournament in Keytesville last week. The Lady Dawgs, the No. 3 seed, lost to top-seeded Norborne in the title game Thursday night, 10-2, but coach Brandee Doyle was proud of her team’s effort.

“Even though we lost, we came out and played our hearts out fighting all the way until the very end,” Doyle said. “The score doesn’t always reflect that. Taking second is still a big accomplishment and the girls should be proud of themselves.”
