David Lee Krokstrom

David Lee Krokstrom, 74, of Richmond, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty.

David was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo., to Harvard Walker and Edna Lucille (Housh) Krokstrom. He married Gloria May Gann, of Kansas City, Mo., Sept. 8, 1960; she preceded him in death Sept. 6, 2013.

Survivors include: two daughters, Daun Warren, of Richmond and Holly Krokstrom, of Oak Grove; two sisters, Saundra Johnson, of N.C., and Carol Krokstrom, of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Wesley VanDolah, Miles Warren, Chelsea Gorham and Jessica Warren-Vroom (Matthew); and seven great-grandchildren, Madison Warren, Kaylee VanDolah, Hazel Gorham, Wyatt Clevenger, Marcus Vroom, Skylar VanDolah and Norah VanDolah.

In addition to his parents and wife, David was preceded in death by one son, Troy Krokstrom; one brother, Paul Krokstrom; and his son-in-law, Marc Warren.

David was a millwright in the Kansas City, Mo. area, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Millwright Local Union 1529 in Kansas City. He lived in Independence before moving to Richmond in 1998. He was of the Christian faith. David worked hard all his life. He thought the world of his grandkids and great-grandkids. He can be described as a grumpy teddy bear.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the David Lee Krokstrom memorial fund.
