Penny Lee Crossland

Penny Lee Crossland, 61, of Richmond, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Penny was born Aug. 9, 1955, in Detroit, Mich., to William and Shirley (Keast) Wilsdon. She married Ronald Allan Crossland, of Detroit, Mich., May 31, 1983; he survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: her father and step-mother, William and Sheila Wildson, of Vandalia, Ohio; three sons, Bill Wildson, of Detroit Mich., Dale Wildson, of Independence, and Joey Crossland and his wife, Mary, of Richmond; one daughter, Cherrie Biggs, of Richmond; six brothers, Mike Wildson, of Detroit, Mich., Dale Wildson, of Vandalia, Ohio, Rick Wildson, of Wayne, Mich., Scott Chittam and his wife, Derea, of Athens, Ala., Danny Wildson, of Detroit, Mich., and Earl Littles, of Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Sherry Flegel, of Healdton, Okla., Shannon Bass, of Grand Rapids, Mich., Tammy Russell, of Holden Mich., and Barb Crocker, of Bonne Terre; six grandchildren, Dylan Wildson, Mikaela Harrell, Mason Crossland, Logan Crossland, Kaiden Leach and Karson Leach.

Penny was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Wildson.

Penny was a childcare worker at the Precious Lamb Day Care in Richmond for more than 15 years. She was a member of the Richmond Assembly of God Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Penny met numerous people while caring for hundreds of children through the daycare. She was a strong woman of faith. She has lived in Richmond since 1986.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, at the Richmond Assembly of God Church, Richmond. Memorial services follow at 11 a.m. at the church.  Inurnment will be at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
