‘Open for Business’

Economic development director could guide Richmond’s continued progress

Richmond’s business community, which has seen impressive growth in recent years, is poised for additional expansion, and a full-time economic development director should be on staff to guide that possibility.

That assessment comes from City Administrator Ron Brohammer, who contends that a director would serve as a tool the city could employ as it continues to pursue steps to maintain, enhance and attract business opportunities in and to Richmond.

“I challenge you to find any community our size that has as much going on as we have and is in as good financial condition,” Brohammer said.

“My point is: Richmond is open for business.”
