‘Bad guys’ put on a good show as part of Outlaw Days

A re-enactor shoots at the jailer (not pictured), killing him during the re-enactment of the robbery of the Hughes & Wasson Bank. The real robbery took place May 23, 1867, and the jailer, his son and Richmond’s mayor were killed. Outlaws and bushwhackers always carried several guns and would clench in their teeth the reins of their horses, leaving their hands free for holding guns and shooting.
