Panthers run to season-opening win over Orrick

Orrick coach David Rash knew his young Bearcats would have their hands full in slowing down a tough Polo squad on its home turf. The Panthers picked up all of their 429 offensive yards on the ground as they rolled to a 60-30 victory over visiting Orrick.

The Panther special teams also contributed a pair of scores on kickoff returns of 68 and 78 yards, while the defense recorded a pair of safeties.

Despite the loss, Rash was pleased with how his young squad battled.
