Edgy meets classic in portraits and studio

It may seem odd to say, but photographer Melinda Macey doesn’t take pictures.

“A picture is a snapshot taken with a hand-held camera or a cell phone,” Macey said.

“I take portraits and images.”

It’s not just a matter of word choice.

“I work to get the image right in the camera,” she said. “If my clients are not happy, we’re going to redo their shoot.”
