Recent rainfall forces alterations in H-c’s softball camp

The July weather threw the Hardin-Central softball team a few curveballs.

Bulldogs coach Brandee Doyle had planned for the team to hold its July 11-15 team camp outdoors. But rainfall forced the Bulldogs to hold their camp indoors “for the most part,” according to Doyle.

“I think we were outside Monday and today,” Doyle said during an interview at the Hardin American Legion fields. The gym had its restrictions, Doyle and Hardin-Central junior Lacey Logsdon agreed.

“It definitely is different being inside, because you don’t have the whole field. But we do (well) with what we have,” Logsdon said.

Practicing in a smaller area than their usual softball field, the Bulldogs did the best they could with their limited space, according to Doyle. At least there was enough space for them to work on fielding grounders.
