Area woman charged with 24 forgery counts

Alleged victim is nursing home resident

A Richmond woman has been charged with 24 counts of forgery as well as identity theft and fraudulent use of a credit card for allegedly using checking, credit and savings accounts of her 79-year-old mother-in-law without permission.

The charges against Karen McMillan, 46, were filed June 3.

Richmond Detective Scott Bagley filed a probable cause statement explaining the allegations against McMillan.
