Kenney Allen Nordsieck

Kenney Allen Nordsieck, 56, of Richmond, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Ray County Memorial Hospital, Richmond.

Kenney was born Dec. 10, 1959, in Richmond, to Murray Louis and Donna Gay (Clay) Nordsieck. He first married Margaret Parks, of Fleming. They later divorced. He later married Roberta “Berdie” N. Jones, of Richmond, June 27, 1996; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: one daughter and one son-in-law, Katrina and Michael Stevens, of Buckner; one brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Karen Nordsieck, of Independence; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Rick Guymon, of Smithville and Crystal and Danial Schoonover, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Brendan Stevens, Trevor Stevens, Chase Millentree and Dayton Millentree; one stepson, Matt Schoolfield, of Excelsior Springs and one step-daughter, Dana Lucas, of Richmond.

In addition to his parents, Kenney was preceded in death by one stepson, Nathan Schoolfield.

Kenney worked as a welder for Excel Tubing and MSI in Kansas City. He was also a heavy equipment operator for the City of Richmond and Ray County. Kenney enjoyed working in the yard and being with his friends. He loved his grandchildren dearly. Kenney was a lifelong Richmond resident.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family’s choice.

Visitation is 6 to 7 p.m., Monday, May 23, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Memorial services follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date by the family. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be left at
