Feds to assist in flood-damaged Missouri

It wasn’t the perfect storm of 1993, but it was a historic and deadly one for eastern and southeastern Missouri.

Ten inches of rain over a three-day period last weekend wreaked havoc and caused the deaths of 24 residents in Illinois and eastern Missouri. Fifteen died in flood-related deaths in Missouri, according to emergency management personnel.
