David A. Bost

David A. Bost, 74, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015.

Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by three brothers, Herschel, Bob and Bill.

Survivors include: three sisters, Bonnie Seward (William), of Richmond, Betty Calabrese, of Sand Springs, Okla., and Catherine Johnston of Houston, Texas; his youngest brother and lifelong friend, James (Jim), of Pleasant Valley; his two children by Bonnie (Sheppard) Roberts, son Mark Roberts (Mary), of Gretna, Neb., along with their nine children; daughter, Theresa Jordison (John), of Temple, Texas, along with their three children and four great-grandchildren; many others that call him “daddy and grandpa,” including the children of Phyllis Bost, daughters Stefanie (Roger) Maucher, of High Ridge, Tammy Olmstead (Don), of Las Vegas, Nev.; son, Tim (Mona) Reeves, of Richwoods and Chris (Clint) Lakamp, of Cedar Hills; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Once he finished high school in Lexington, David spent his pre-retirement life primarily as owner and operator of Bost Funeral Home in Wellington for several years. He was also a member of the Gospel Lovin’ Four.

David expressed that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation is 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. A memorial service follows at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
