One of the more popular golf tournaments in the area gets ready to tee it up Friday, June 5 at Shirkey Golf Course. For the fifth year in a row, the Spartan Touchdown Club will host its fund-raising tournament with the proceeds going to the Richmond High School football program.

The day begins with a catered lunch starting at 11 a.m., with a noon tee time for the four-person scramble. There will also be hole prizes, including a shot at winning a new car for the first person making a hole-in-one on No. 2. The 2015 Ford Fusion is provided by Swafford’s Ford.
