The Spartan golfers ran their consecutive MRVC East tournament titles to six Monday afternoon. The Spartans placed four golfers in the top four and all five finished with all-conference honors as Richmond coasted to the tournament crown after shooting 374. Carrollton finished a distant second with 495, followed by Lexington with 524 and Higginsville with 539.

Richmond senior Philip Kincaid took medalist honors by carding an 89 on the par-72 Drumm Farm course. Kincaid, who finished third last spring, shot a consistent 44 on the front and a 45 over the back nine. Austin Bowman finished as the runner-up – just two shots off the pace with a 91 (46-45).

Spartan teammates Kanon Franklin and Andrew Bidding tied for fourth place behind Lexington’s Joey Chandra. Chandra shot a 95 (47-48), with Franklin (48-49) and Bidding (50-47) two shots behind.

Nathan Richey tied Morgan Willis of Carrollton for seventh place after his round of 120 (64-56).

Pleasant Hill shot 353 to edge Harrisonville by nine strokes to take the MRVC West title for the second year in a row.
