Panthers rout Braymer in homecoming win

Polo bounced back from its first loss of the season in a big way Friday night. The Panthers celebrated Homecoming festivities by crushing Braymer 60-20. The 6-1 Panthers pounded out 436 rushing yards – 369 of those coming in the first half as Polo built a 54-6 cushion.

“We came out and immediately ran the pace that the coaches asked of them,” Panther coach Kyle Ross said. “We wanted to start fast and be extremely efficient on offense in the first half, and accomplished that. The offensive line and the defensive line controlled the game from the outset.”

Wiley Martin led the ground attack for Polo with 213 yard on 13 carries, while scoring a pair of touchdowns and adding two conversion runs. The remainder of the running attack was balanced out between three other backs.
