Bulk 14th at Platte County meet

Platte County had three runners finish in the top 10 Thursday afternoon to easily take first place at their own invitational cross country meet held at Platte Ridge Park in Weston.

Spartan senior Wyatt Bulk had the top Richmond finish as the Spartans placed 14th in the 17-team field. Platte County senior Nathan Stroubel crossed the line first by finishing the 5K race with a time of 16 minutes, 6.8 seconds. The Pirates ended the meet with 33 points, while Park Hill was the runner-up with 72 points and Smithville was third with 85.

Bulk finished in 55th place with his time of 20:02.7 for Richmond. Freshman Daniel Pemburlin was 77th with a time of 20:39.4. Also for the Spartans, Jackson Pence placed 83rd in 21:01.1; Jacob Clark was 88th in 21:15.5; Josh Goodloe was 104th in 21:47.8; Dakot Boss was 114th in 22:14.9; and John Barrett was 124th in 22:54.1.
