By Russ Green-Sports Editor

Once again, the Hardin-Central Bulldogs will have a strong presence at the Missouri 8-man Football Coaches Association All-Star Game in July. The sixth-annual contest will be held at William Jewell College in Liberty, July 12.

Six Bulldogs will hit the 8-man gridiron for the final time in their high school careers with the 7 p.m. kickoff. Bulldog head coach Kirk Thacker will once again serve as an assistant coach for the Blue team that will be coached by Dan Collins of Stanberry. Other Bulldogs joining Thacker on the Blue squad will be Michael Carpenter, Evan Griggs, Terry Barron and Gage Marshall. Two other Bulldogs will be suiting up for the Red team that will be coached by Jonathan Schoonover, who led North Andrew to last fall’s MSHSAA 8-man title. Hardin-Central’s Chase Sims and Allen Hall will be playing for the Red team.
