State representative McGaugh offers assistance to residents

By Rep. Joe Don McGaugh

Following the EF-3 tornado that struck Orrick this past Saturday, our office has remained in close contact with Orrick city officials, SEMA, local police departments and Orrick residents.
All reports indicate that things are on the upswing in Orrick, but that does not mean that there is not still a lot of work to do. I would like to praise the efforts and thank all individuals who have stepped in to assist Orrick in its time of need.
Gov. Jay Nixon has declared Orrick a state disaster, ushering in support from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the State Emergency Operations Center. This team is supported by senior officials from the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Missouri National Guard, Missouri State Highway Patrol and State Emergency Management Agency.
While Orrick continues to rebuild, I would like to continue my office’s support to anyone in need of assistance associated with the storm. My office’s phone line is always open and I will attach my personal cell phone below. If you or someone you know is in need of state assistance please do not hesitate to contact me. We will do our best to help the residents of Orrick return to their normal way of life following this natural disaster.
