May 27 declared clean-up day in Orrick

The city of Orrick, along with several disaster relief agencies, is making a big push Tuesday, May 27, to clear remaining tree damage and debris from the May 10 tornado.

Orrick Mayor Cindy Lampton is asking city residents to separate tree limbs from other debris, like roofing material and metal. Brush will be taken to deemed burn sites in Orrick. Other trash can be disposed in the AAA dumpsters on Front Street.

Disaster relief teams from Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team, The American Red Cross and Salvation Army will return May 27 to help residents with debris removal.

For more information or those wishing to volunteer can contact Orrick City Hall at 816-770-3607.
