Letter: Paid, job-training internships available here

Ray County Community:

I want to introduce myself, my name is Jeanne Lake and I work for the State of Missouri Economic Development, Division of Workforce Development.
On the closing of the State office in Lexington, I was placed in Richmond to assist in building up the Missouri Career Center here and offering more services to the community of Ray County.
I  have been working with Shirley Kohly in utilizing WIA funds from the state to help increase skills training and employment opportunities here and we have been successful in not only meeting our goals here but assisting in using funds from other offices … lol.
We have a small window of opportunity to assist another 12 young adults over what our original goal was and I am seeking community help in touching and reaching out to locate people who qualify and would like not only paid training but 25 hours a week in paid internship.  We will continue to work with these young people after the program to locate full-time employment.
Any referrals would be appreciated, please help us continue to utilize these training fund dollars for the Ray County and continuing to skill up our community.   As always stop by and visit us at any time and see what we are now providing to the community, these opportunities are completely free. These are some of the services we offer:
·         Job Placement Assistance
·         Resume
·         Skills Training
·         Job Readiness Workshops
·         Offender Workshops
·         Internships
·         On The Job Training
·         HSE (formerly GED) 4 days a week
·         Youth Programs
·         Much much more…

You can reach me in care of the Richmond Career Center.
