Inaugural Health Fair draws good reviews

By Russ Green/Richmond News

The first Community Health Fair, sponsored by the Ray County Memorial Hospital, proved to be a successful one, according to Jennifer Gant, the Home Health Director at RCMH. Gant, one of the committee members who helped plan the event held Saturday in the Richmond High School commons, said she received positive comments from those who attended, as well as from vendors.

“Everybody thought it went great and they said they are looking forward to us doing another one next year,” she said.

Gant estimated that although she wasn’t sure what to expect with their first attempt on putting together the health fair, she thought the entire event ran smoothly. She said the public also gave the event good reviews.

“I’ve heard from others since then with those I talked to at the fair thought it was great,” Gant said.
