Lady Bearcats back to winning ways

The Orrick Lady Bearcats jumped out to a 24-10 lead in the first period Friday night on the way to a 65-41 victory over visiting Hardin-Central. Orrick bounced back from a disappointing loss to St. Paul in its conference opener just a few days earlier, but shooting 42 percent from the field and grabbing 43 rebounds.

The Lady Bearcats, now 14-3 for the season, got 25 points from Madison Winters, who helped her cause by hitting 6 of 7 free throws. The Orrick seniors also pulled down 7 rebounds, in addition to dishing out 6 of the Lady Bearcats’ 15 assists. Madison Ensley recorded a double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, with Sam Fulte chipping in 16 points and 8 rebounds.
