H-C locker room attack case back in court Jan. 8

By David Knopf/Richmond News

The third and possibly final defendant in a series of Hardin-Central locker room assaults returns to court at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 8.

Michael Boydston is charged with two unclassified felonies, both described in legal terms as forcible sodomy – deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion.

The attacks allegedly took place in October and December 2011.

Boydston was bound over to circuit court at the conclusion of a probable-cause hearing in October 2013. Judge David Miller is now assigned to the case.

Boydston is the third H-C student charged as an adult in a series of locker-room assaults that took place at the school in 2011. A fourth student, mentioned several times by name in court during October’s hearing, was charged as a juvenile.

Boydston is free on bond.

The two previous adult defendants, Jeffrey Ellis and Randy Estenbaum, accepted guilty findings to lesser charges in exchange for their testimony in cases against other defendants.
