Ray Co. under freezing rain advisory Friday

The National Weather Service has placed much of northwest Missouri, including Ray County, under a freezing rain advisory 2 to 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20.

The forecast calls for light rain and drizzle Thursday evening with a cold front moving through during overnight hours, around 3 a.m. Freezing drizzle is expected behind the cold front and will likely continue through the morning hours Friday, according the weather service.

City of Richmond crews Thursday began pre-treating roads and bridges Thursday. Motorists are advised to use caution when driving Friday morning, especially on secondary roads, overpasses and bridges.
