Letter to the editor: Grocery closing shuts door on future opportunities

Dear Editor:

My son went to work at Apple Market at a young age. He worked there until he graduated high school. He was treated very well and management always worked his schedule around his school and athletic activities.
I am very thankful he had this oppurtunituy and sorry this will not be available for young men and women in the future.
It is sad with all the union tradesman and autoworkers in the area that we could not support and help keep open the only union grocery store in Richmond.
