The Orrick Bearcats held their own against much larger schools at Thursday’s Chillicothe Invitational held at the Green Hills Golf Course.

The Bearcats placed ninth in the 15-team field as the Bearcats shot a 372. Pembroke Hill ended the day with 323, which edged runner-up St. Joseph LeBlond by 3 shots for the team title. Macon placed third with its 334, followed by Brookfield with 348 and Trenton with 351 to round out the top five.

Savannah was sixth with 358 while Lawson was just one shot behind the Savages.

Jake Jennings and Austin Meyer paced the Orrick team effort. Jennings shot a consistent 41-42 for the low Bearcat round. His 83 put him in 13th place, while Meyer was 2 shots off that total (44-41) and was 20th.
