Bearcats nearly set new scoring mark

By Russ Green-Sports Editor

The Orrick Bearcat golfers came close to breaking the school scoring record Monday afternoon in sweeping a quad match at the Tri-County Country Club in Emma. The Bearcats shot a 169, which is 11 shots off the school mark set five years ago.

Green Ridge had the next lowest team total with 185, followed by Windsor with 194 and the host St. Paul Saints with 201.

The Bearcats had the low two individual scores for the day with Jake Jennings and Austin Meyers tying for medalist honors as each carded a 3-over-par 39 on a cool and windy afternoon.
