Offense carries Dawgs past WMA

Three Bulldogs reached double figures Tuesday night to lift Hardin-Central to a 76-48 home win over Wentworth Military Academy. The Dawgs, now 17-7, hit 48 percent of their 72 shots, while the defense came up with a dozen steals.

Hardin-Central grabbed an 18-10 lead after the first period and opened a 38-22 advantage by halftime. The Bulldogs then took a 51-36 cushion into the final 8 minutes where they broke loose for 25 points.

Clif Kugler led the Bulldog scoring with 13 points to go along with 9 rebounds. Colton Layman and Lane Coldiron each chipped in 12 points, with Layman hitting the boards for 8 rebounds, while dishing out a team-high 4 assists.
