Flu outbreak closes H-C schools

The flu outbreak sweeping the Midwest descended on Hardin-Central School District causing the cancellation of school and athletic practices Thursday and Friday of this week.

Superintendent Martin Griffin said 21 percent of its pre-school through 12th graders are home with the flu since Monday.

“Teachers are also getting sick, and the subs we’ve contacted are also sick with the flu,” he said. “It’s getting bad.”
