Library offering new series of beginning computer classes

Ray County Library will be hosting additional Beginner Computer Classes in January and February. The deadline to register is Dec. 21.
Introduction to Computers will teach individuals computer terminology, computer component identification, how to operate the mouse with hand eye coordination, the very basic introduction to the Internet including internet terminology.
There is a fee of $20 to offset the cost for instruction.
Surfing the Web will teach individuals surfing terminology, how to use Web addresses and search engines more proficiently, and information on protecting yourself on the Internet for beginners. There is a fee of $20 to offset the cost for instruction.
All classes will meet once a week, for an hour, for a total of four weeks. The classes will be held on Friday mornings in January and/or February from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
The final day and time will depend on the number of registrants for each class.
Registration can be completed by contacting Rochelle McCaulley at the library at 816-776-5104 or in person at the circulation desk at the library. Registration will consist of full name, telephone number, and a non-refundable $10 deposit.
