Billie Darlene Harmon

Billie Darlene Harmon, 77, Richmond passed away Nov. 17, 2012 at home with her family. She was born June 17, 1935 in Richmond. The daughter of William and Hazel (West) Duncan. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Harmon in 1970. They shared 26 years of marriage. Darlene was a lifetime resident of Richmond. She worked as an accounting clerk at Foley Belsaw for over 15 years before retiring in 2000 when she became a stay-at-home great grandma. She cherished the time she spent with her great grandson Trey.

She was preceeded in death by her husband; parents; brother Sonny Duncan; and daughter Billie McGinnis. Darlene is survived by her sister Jean Surbaugh of Richmond: grandson Joey Duncan and his wife Sandy of Richmond, granddaughter Joanie Ketron of North East Kansas City, and great grandson, Trey Duncan of Richmond.

A memorial service will be held Thursday Nov. 29, at the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Richmond from 6 to 7:30 p.m.. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice 9237 Ward Parkway Ste 300 Kansas City, Mo. 64114

    I went to school with Darlene and remember she had the most beautiful red hair My condolences go out to the family.
