RHS spikers swept

The Lady Spartan volleyball team hosted Carrollton Tuesday night for Pink Night to support the fight against Breast Cancer.

The visitors pulled away late in both games to sweep Richmond at the RHS gym. The Lady Spartans fell 19-25 and 18-25.

Emma Long had five kills and 14 attacks for Richmond, with Wylie Thompson adding five kills in 17 attacks to go along with seven digs. Raeley Vanderpool led Richmond in service points as she hit six of her 10 with one ace. Long was four of nine in service points. Jenny Simpson had two of Richmond’s for blocks for the evening.

Haley Sowder had a team-high 11 digs, with Andrea Woods credited with eight.
