RHS trapshooters bring back first, second places from meet

The Richmond FFA Trap Team competed in the Missouri Youth Shooting Sports Alliance and the Central District Trap Shooting tournaments on March 31.  The tournament was held at the Missouri Trapshooters Association home grounds in Linn Creek.
Team members consisted of Shane Battagler, Haley Bentley, Ethan Duffett, Morgan Hendrix, John Landwehr, Kyle Marrant and Brandon Taber.  In addition to these seven high school students, Richmond Middle School student Jack Bentley also shot with the team as an individual in the Junior High Division for the MYSSA event.  More than 200 shooters participated in the MYSSA division.
Taber placed second overall and Bentley was second in the ladies division for the MYSSA tournament.  Out of nearly 150 shooters in the Central District tournament, Taber was the overall winner and Bentley placed second in the ladies division.
The team placed fifth out of 27 teams in the Central District division.
