Good sign for the Farris Arts District

Rob Swafford calls it “hands-on not-for-profit volunteerism” that he, Tom Bowman, Max Hockemeier and others were engaged in this week.
Working with John Long, the Farris buildings and maintenance director, the volunteers installed a sign above one of the two Farris Arts District buildings on Camden Street. The sign for the second building is done and could be installed by the Mushroom Festival, Swafford said.
“We are really beginning to see the light at the end of the FAD project tunnel,” he said.
The volunteers also installed ornate address signs on the face of the two buildings, as well as event poster boxes on the south side of the Friends Gallery, the corner building.
